With a remarkable catalogue of motion picture achievements
spanning the past 20 years, ROBERT ZEMECKIS (Executive Producer) has secured
himself a position as one of the industry's preeminent filmmakers. In 1994
he won the Best Director Academy Award for "Forrest Gump", a film
that earned six Oscars including Best Picture and Best Actor for Tom Hanks,
plus a Golden Globe Award for Best Dramatic Picture, the National Board of
Review's highest honor, two People's Choice Awards, the Producers Guild's
Golden Laurel Award and a British Academy Award (BAFTA) for Best Picture.
He reunited with Hanks on the blockbuster "Cast Away", which earned
the star another Best Actor Academy nomination, and is collaborating with
him again on the upcoming "The Polar Express", based on the popular
children's book by Chris Van Allsburg, with Zemeckis set to direct.
