MICHAEL KAPLAN (Costume Designer) reunites with Ridley Scott
on "Matchstick Men", having worked on the 1982 groundbreaking classic
"Blade Runner", for which Kaplan shared a British Academy Award
for his costume designs.
Kaplan, whose trend-setting designs ("Flashdance") and evocative
historic recreations ("Pearl Harbor") often influence the collective
fashion consciousness, has also collaborated with such noted filmmakers as
David Finsher ("Seven", "The Game", "Fight Club",
"The Panic Room"), Michael Bay ("Pearl Harbor" and "Armageddon"),
Harold Becker ("Malice"), Taylor Hackford ("Against All Odds"),
Adrian Lyne ("Flashdance") and, most recently, Martin Brest ("Gigli").
He earned a nomination from the Costumer Designers Guild for "Fight Club"
and a Saturn Award nomination from the Academy of Science-Fiction, Fantasy
and Horror for "Armageddon".
